Strategies for Attracting, Hiring and Keeping Top Talent Focus of August 9 TechWomen Power Breakfast
The New Hampshire High Tech Council (Council) will host its next TechWomen Power Breakfast on Wednesday, August 9 from 7:30 to 9 am at the Manchester Country Club, 180 South River Road in Bedford. The event will feature a distinguished panel of human resource executives who will focus on two main areas: finding talent and streamlining the hiring process, and retaining talent and building a corporate culture. The three presenters include Shannon Hathaway, director of human resources at Single Digits; Andrea Kokolis, vice president of human resources at Newforma; and Colleen Cone, vice president of talent and culture at Skillsoft.
“Now more than ever, New Hampshire businesses are feeling the crunch of trying to find quality employees in a very limited pool of candidates,” said Michelline Dufort, director of business relations for the Council. “This program is an invaluable one to learn about strategies from the pros for identifying and recruiting top talent, and then creating the right kind of culture to hire and keep them.” Read more.
The TechWomen Power Breakfast series is part of the Council’s TechWomen|TechGirls initiative that builds on a strong community of women enthusiastic about technology and supporting efforts where girls are exploring STEM as a career or area of study. TechWomen|TechGirls holds programs for professional women to connect, collaborate and explore ideas around career development, technology initiatives, and innovation. The initiative also deploys volunteers and mentors to support academic STEM initiatives and events for girls across New Hampshire.
“We are excited to offer a place for women in the technology fields to come together and create lasting meaningful relationships while learning from each other’s successes,” said Candice Benson of Benson Consulting and chair of the TechWomen Power Breakfast committee. “We have a lot of brilliant women in our community and we are thrilled to be able to celebrate and support them with our power breakfast series.”
The breakfast series will take place the second Wednesday of every month.
The TechWomen|TechGirls breakfast series is sponsored by TD Bank, Measured Progess and Newforma.
